Building loan origination on a configurable platform

Loan origination combines everything that is hard to hand-code: long data entry, documents, outside checks, credit scoring and layered approval. This guide shows how the stages map onto configuration, using DynamicForm's worked example.

The six stages

  • Onboarding: lead capture on a phone, mobile OTP, identity documents and consent.
  • Quick data entry: key fields, a duplicate check, a credit bureau pull and a first risk score.
  • Detailed data entry: co-applicants, business details, bank statements, GST and collateral, with documents read automatically.
  • Credit process: field investigation, valuation and legal checks in parallel, a financial-distress score and a credit memo.
  • Sanction: pricing, repayment schedule, sanction letter and customer acceptance by OTP.
  • Disbursement: checklist, bank-account check, payment request and hand-off to the loan system.

What each part of the platform does

The Screen Designer holds the long, multi-tab data entry with repeating co-applicants and years. The Workflow Configurator runs the stages, parallel checks and approvals. The Document Analyzer reads identity documents and statements into the form. Decision Models place scores at the step that uses them. Integrations call the bureau, bank and payment services.

Who builds it

A lender's own IT team, or an IT services company working for the lender, configures the stages from the requirement document. A system of this size typically goes live in about 30 days.

Questions

Are the scoring models in the example real?

They are example models with example values, shown to explain how scores appear at each step. They are not qualified for lending decisions.

Can the example be changed for our own process?

Yes. It is built only from general features; your own stages, screens and approvals can look completely different.
